Sharing Data Between PC's

Most offices share data between computers. The degree of efficiency varies widely, usually depending on the amount of time spent on setting it up and the abilities of those doing the setup.

The solutions to these problems are varied. It can be as simple as teaching users how to import the file so the receiving program interprets the data correctly. It can be as complex as writing a complicated macro to read data from the source, manipulate it so it is in the correct format and pass it to a form created specifically to receive it.

Sometimes the data is in the correct format, but is inaccessible to other users because they are not networked. A simple peer-to-peer network can solve this problem. Peer-to-peer networks can also simplify backing up important data.

CSI can help with the complexities of data sharing.
