Considering an Upgrade?

Thinking about upgrading your computers?
Worried about losing data when you copy from the old PC to the new?
Wondering how much it will cost?

Consider this: If you are planning to keep your existing monitor, printer, and other peripherals, it will cost less than you think! In addition your information will remain intact during the transfer from the existing PC to the new one.

What you do: Contact me and I will help you decide on what is required for a new computer. Most home users (gamers not included) can work with a minimum system. Keep in mind that a minimum system is pretty powerful these days!

What I do: After you decide on the PC you want I will order it and pick it up. I will pick your existing PC and then transfer the information from your computer to the new one at my office. I will install any software you have the CD's and license for. If the number of programs you want installed exceeds five I will charge for the additional time at the standard rate. The addition of Anti-Spyware software is included in this price. The PC will then be returned to your location and the peripherals connected to the system. This will normally take about 1 hour, but can take longer if you have "legacy" equipment that Windows XP does not support. In the event the equipment you have requires additional time past 1 hour the time will be billed at the standard rate. When the project is finished you will have a new PC that runs faster, has a larger hard drive, and more RAM - with your data intact!

What it will cost: Transferring data will cost $200.00 minimum. Again, it can cost more if I run into difficulties with the transfer. If this occurs I will contact you before going any further. I will never charge more than $200.00 for this work without your consent. This is in addition to the cost of the PC. If you want data transferred to a PC purchased from another source the minimum cost is $250.00. PC price is subject to change based on current price from supplier.

Options: You can add more memory, a larger hard drive, or a faster CPU. You can also upgrade your Operating System or any other software you have on your PC at this time. There will be additional charges based on the cost of the upgrade and the time required for installation.

Will this work for you: If your PC is less than 5 years old and runs windows 9x, XP, 2000, NT 4.0, or ME it should be a good candidate for this type of upgrade. This offer is based on the assumption that your existing computer is set up in a manner that makes it possible to transfer the data safely. If it is not then the process will be more complex and the cost will rise.

Limitations and Conditions: When transferring data between hard drives there is always the risk of data loss. Because of the volatility of hard drives and the data they contain our sole and entire maximum liability for any loss of information, for any reason, and user's sole and exclusive remedy for any cause whatsoever, shall be limited to the amount paid by the customer for the work received (if any). We are not liable for any indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages (including damages for loss of business, loss of profits, litigation, or the like). Whether based on breach of contract, breach of warranty, tort (including negligence), product liability or otherwise, even if advised of the possibility of such damage. The limitations of damages set forth above are fundamental elements of the basis of the bargain between you and us. We would not provide this work and information without such limitations. No representations, warranties or guarantees whatsoever are made as to the accuracy, adequacy, reliability, timeliness, completeness, suitability or applicability of the information to a particular situation.
